Sonically we’re taking you on a completely different journey, however, the distinctive vibe of The Stuyvesants is still very present in the music! Today is the first day of summer and to get things started off right (despite the clouds hanging over BK right now), we put together a Single that captures the feeling of summer in Brooklyn with some help from Naturel — the third member of The Stuyvesants. BK Summers are always incredible from the BBQs, the cookouts, & the fish fries to the rooftop parties & random beach excursions. So take a listen, vibe out, and enjoy the summer…

I used to have the biggest celeb crush on her back in high school, LOL. I remember the day I woke up to make the move from MD to NYC for college. That same morning the news story came out about her passing. Made the move away from home just a little more scarier for me. Then to make matters worse, 2 weeks later the 9/11 tragedy hit NY. :-/

I’m just gonna hi-jack D’s post since it pretty much says everything I want to say, LOL.

[Edit: That’s me on the left.] Hahaha…we (The Stuyvesants) were invited by DJ Jon Oliver to come and do a guest spot on his set, The Main Ingredient on East Village Radio last night (BIG shout out to Jon!). We had a blast answering questions, talking about the album, art, life, and good music. If you missed it, you can check it out here.

By the way, our listening party for “The Stuyvesants” album will be held this Friday, August 13th at CLOUD in Bed-Stuy…hit me up for details! Hope you all can come out…
