Three things that would make WordPress for iPhone better.

After playing around with the WordPress for iPhone App I’ve found a few slight annoyances that would make things a bit easier. Here goes:

  1. Larger default image size.

640px by 480px is simply too small. I know larger images would more load time so the full 1600px iPhone image isn’t ideal. But a solid 800px image could give us a lot more options.

  2. Custom Field Settings.

    Self explanatory.

  3. Image position & linkage options.

Currently, after you upload an image, and Publish(or save a non-local draft) it to the web, it sticks the image html at the bottom of the post content. So if you start writing a post and then upload the image, you end up with the image being positioned under the copy. Sure the quick fix is to upload/insert the image first, then start writing copy, but it’s a little unnatural to do it that way. It would be great if you could tell it to position the image either before or after(or in between) the post content. I also wish there was a way to remove or at least edit the image link without having to tediously edit the HTML through the App.

The sad thing is I have no idea how to develop for this App. Hopefully, someone better than me can figure it out.
