I had originally hoped to have this next version of Mixtape (2.0) ready to go by the end of September and as you can tell, I’ve missed that mark. I’ve never been big on excuses but coding my next 2 theme designs has been taking precedence over the Mixtape 2.0 update. The good news is that the update is a good 75% complete and I’ve managed to get a major feature working that will make adding and managing music much easier. The leftover 25% goes towards browser/version testing which is by far the most anti-fun part of developing anything for the web(In my opinion). Getting through that last 25% is very high on my to-do list right now so the update should come sooner than later.
Also, I’de note about the 2 new themes, I’m working on. The first one will be a ‘magazine-esque’ theme called Neutica. The second will be a photoblog (for lack of a better word) called Autofocus. I am actually looking for a photographer to feature in the demo, so anyone looking for some free exposure in the form of links/trackbacks, please reach out to me. If you’ve checked out my theme testing site, you may have seen these in action. Both are about 95% complete (I just need to write up theme spec page) so they’ll be available REALLY soon.

hats off 2 u! this i have been waiting for a long time,i always wanted to start a music & movie recommendation blog but due to scarcity of themes for audio oriented blogs i could not , i am no web designer u see !!! eagerly waiting for mixtape v2.0 to kickstart my site. best of luck
Thanks Shrey! Yeah there aren’t too many themes that focus around audio. I have a few more ideas in the works but none before I get Mixtape 2.0 released ;-)

Thanks Webby! As soon as 2.7 hits the web, the update will be released shortly after. I’m just making sure the update works with the latest stable version of WP. So far, the 2.7 Beta tests haven’t broken anything (Yet?).
