AutoFocus Update: Version 0.9.5

AutoFocus 0.9.5

Fixes:

  • Removes the first image from the post content when it comes before the_content text. This effectively fixes the ‘duplicate image’ that many people have found to be a problem in the comments. With 0.9.5 You DO NOT need to delete the first/duplicate image from the post content.
  • It also allows the images to show up in the RSS feed.
  • Adds indented sub-page formatting in the main menu.
  • Removes Gray background for smaller images on single and attachment pages.

Download it here.

I believe this will be the last update for a while as it solves almost all of the concerns that have been reported in the comments. I’ve got to thank Rob for helping with the duplicate image/RSS feed image fixes. Great work.

      Hey Jesse,
Try adding custom Excerpts for all of your posts. Some of the automatically generated excerpts are pulling in the gallery styling and breaking the HTML. That should fix it.

    Hi Allan,

Thanks for the great theme. The rollover on the images isn’t working correctly for me though — when I mouseover, I get a bunch of squiggly coloured lines instead of text. I’m using WP 2.8. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

      Thanks Tom,
I’m not sure. Do you have a live link where I can see it?

    hello,

i’m setting up a page now and I’m trying to add a logo to the header and I’m not having much luck. I’ve tried to apply treatments found on forums addressing this problem, but I think they are dealing with older versions as I the stylesheets don’t seem to be set up the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks much,
    katie

To put a logo on the header instead of the blog’s name, you have to change the Header like this :

      <a href="/” title=”" rel=”home”>

    Allan,

First, thanks for the theme. It’s really great and I like having something that’s different from most blogs.

Second, I was wondering if you could check something for me. For some reason, pingbacks aren’t showing up in the comments. They are being displayed in the total number of comments on the post, but not in the comment flow itself. You can see an example of that here.

Hi Allan, love the theme. I’ve got a long navbar, and unfortunately the last two links ‘what is BPD?’ and ‘RSS’ are obscured by the second image on the home page.

Please bear in mind that I’m not the biggest technogeek – I know a little bit about CSS but not much. I’m assuming I need to change the code to make the images show a bit lower down, but I’m not sure how….

Btw, for some reason search engines don’t seem to pick up on the site. It’s for ‘Tales of a Borderline’, and although when I google it picks up on all the other sites that are mentioning it at the moment, but not mine – is there anything I can do for SEO – apart from the obvious registering it with each search engine?
