Theme Updates

AutoFocus 1.0 should be wrapped up in the next day or so

&

the long awaited Mixtape 2.0 (beta) update will be available this week as well.

Things have been really hectic on the work front, but these updates are WAY overdue. Pending the WP Theme directory’s approval time, both themes should be available for download this week.

AutoFocus Update: Version 0.9.5

AutoFocus 0.9.5

Fixes:

  • Removes the first image from the post content when it comes before the_content text. This effectively fixes the ‘duplicate image’ that many people have found to be a problem in the comments. With 0.9.5 You DO NOT need to delete the first/duplicate image from the post content.
  • It also allows the images to show up in the RSS feed.
  • Adds indented sub-page formatting in the main menu.
  • Removes Gray background for smaller images on single and attachment pages.

Download it here.

I believe this will be the last update for a while as it solves almost all of the concerns that have been reported in the comments. I’ve got to thank Rob for helping with the duplicate image/RSS feed image fixes. Great work.

Testing out WPTouch

So I decided to give iPhone/iPod touch users an optimized version of my site. I’m using the WPTouch plugin which has been working flawlessly so far. It was pretty easy to modify the default theme and get it to match the full design. It also makes it easier to respond to comments from my phone which you can’t currently do with the WordPress for iPhone App. Here’s a few screenshots:

WP 2.7 Comment Search Bug?

Anyone else notice how WordPress 2.7’s comment search only returns results when you search using one term? If you use more than one search term, the results only recognizes consecutive words. So for this post, if I searched for comment search, it would show up in the results. But, if I used  wordpress comment search, I would get 0 results because those three words aren’t consecutive in the post content. Makes the comment search kind of wack doesn’t it?
